An American man from Missouri, Travis Timmerman, was found in Syria after being freed from a prison following Bashar al-Assad's ouster. Timmerman had been detained upon entering Syria seven months ago after spending time in Lebanon. He described his escape from the prison as peaceful and said he had been trying to make his way to Jordan. Timmerman expressed gratitude for the help he received along his journey and said he was feeling well after being fed and watered.
