Former California Highway Patrol officer turned stay-at-home dad Gregg Musgrove stumbled upon a treasure trove of unreleased Michael Jackson tapes in a storage unit in the San Fernando Valley. The tapes contain 12 unreleased tracks from the late pop icon, recorded before his Dangerous album. Among the tracks is a rap duet with LL Cool J titled “Truth on Youth.” Despite the tapes' potential value in the seven-digit range, the Jackson Estate declined to purchase them, stating that the estate owns the copyright to the recordings and compositions, preventing their public release. Musgrove plans to take the tapes to auction in the hopes that a celebrity memorabilia enthusiast will add them to their collection.
