The track includes new lyrics performed by Snoop and guest artist Jelly Roll. Other guests on the album include Sting, 50 Cent, and producer Dr. Dre. Snoop expressed his excitement about working with Dr. Dre again, stating that he brings out the best in him. Despite Snoop's association with marijuana, Petty clarified that the original song was not about pot in a past interview.
