Lindsey Vonn, at 40 years old, will make her return to World Cup ski racing next weekend in St. Moritz, Switzerland. The U.S. Ski Team confirmed her participation in the speed events. Vonn has won five of her 82 World Cup races at the St. Moritz venue. This will be her first major race since February 2019, following a series of injuries that led to her retirement. Vonn's partial knee replacement last April has enabled her to feel good enough to compete again.
