Dominique Pelicot has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for drugging and raping his ex-wife, Gisèle, and allowing other men to abuse her over nearly a decade. He admitted to the charges against him. In total, 47 of the 50 men on trial in Avignon, France, were found guilty of rape, attempted rape, or sexual assault. The defendants have 10 days to appeal the verdict. The men convicted come from various professions, including firefighters, lorry drivers, soldiers, security guards, a journalist, and a DJ.
