The 26-year-old man accused of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson has waived extradition from Pennsylvania and will be returned to New York. Luigi Mangione was arrested in Pennsylvania after a five-day manhunt and charged in the shooting death of Thompson outside a Manhattan hotel. He faces several charges in Pennsylvania to which he has pleaded not guilty. If the extradition paperwork is in order, Mangione could be arraigned in New York as soon as Thursday. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul is determined to ensure justice is served in this case.
