A Mexican-born illegal immigrant, Raymond Rojas Basilio, was arrested by ICE officials in New York for sexually abusing an 11-year-old child after re-entering the country five times. Rojas was convicted of forcible touching and sentenced to 60 days in jail and six years of probation. Despite being removed multiple times, Rojas managed to re-enter the U.S. and commit the crime. ICE officials praised the arrest, emphasizing the danger posed by individuals who repeatedly violate immigration laws. Rojas is currently in ICE custody awaiting deportation to Mexico.
