The U.S. Treasury Department has sanctioned Beijing-based cybersecurity company Integrity Tech for its involvement in cyberattacks attributed to the Chinese state-sponsored Flax Typhoon hacking group. The hackers used the company's infrastructure to target networks in Europe and the U.S. for over a year. The sanctions follow a court-authorized operation to disrupt a botnet controlled by the Chinese threat group known as "Raptor Train." The FBI revealed that Flax Typhoon has compromised computer networks in various regions, with a focus on Taiwan. U.S. organizations are now prohibited from conducting transactions with Integrity Tech, and assets associated with them will be frozen.
