The film has set records for Universal, surpassing the studio's previous VOD successes. With more than two months of exclusivity on home entertainment platforms before moving to Peacock, Universal is expecting the film's success to continue. The studio's aggressive experimentation with theatrical windows and digital releases has paid off, with "Wicked" generating $682 million worldwide since its theatrical release. The sequel, "Wicked: For Good," is set to hit theaters on Nov. 21.
