Beyoncé's foundation, BeyGOOD, has donated $2.5 million to support the Los Angeles wildfire relief effort, specifically focusing on the Eaton Fire in the Altadena/Pasadena area. The fund aims to help families who lost their homes and support churches and community centers affected by the wildfires. Beyoncé's decision to target the Eaton Fire destruction may be due to its impact on a historically Black neighborhood, where several Black-owned businesses were destroyed, as opposed to the affluent community of Pacific Palisades. This donation comes after Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, lost her home in Malibu to the Palisades Fire.
