A jet carrying 60 passengers and four crew members collided with an Army helicopter near Washington's Ronald Reagan National Airport, crashing into the Potomac River. All onboard were feared dead. The midair crash occurred just over 3 miles south of the White House and the U.S. Capitol. The aircraft was on its final approach when it collided with the military helicopter on a training exercise.
