Prince Andrew was revealed to have continued his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein in emails sent after claiming their relationship had ended. The emails, read in a London court, showed Andrew telling Epstein they would "play some more soon" in February 2011, two months after he claimed to have cut ties with the convicted pedophile. The emails also revealed that Epstein and Peter Mandelson, the British Ambassador to the US, remained in contact until at least 2012. The revelations came to light during a court filing by the Financial Conduct Authority in defense of an appeal by former Barclays CEO Jes Staley, who had lied about his relationship with Epstein. As a result of the scandal, Prince Andrew settled a lawsuit with Virginia Giuffre for an undisclosed amount, leading to him being stripped of his military titles, royal patronages, and HRH title.
