The Pacific Coast Highway in the Palisades Fire area partially reopened on Sunday after a lack of coordination between the city and county of Los Angeles. The full reopening was postponed until Monday, with one lane in each direction opening from Coastline Drive to Entrada Drive. Plans to remove all checkpoints for access to the Palisades community were delayed until Monday, when the LAPD will transfer responsibility to the CHP and National Guard. Residents and contractors will need access passes, and travel on the PCH will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 25 mph speed limit. Topanga Canyon Boulevard remains closed, and people entering the burn zones are advised to wear masks.
