In "The Gorge," two sharpshooters, Levi and Drasa, are tasked with guarding a chasm without much information about their mission. Despite potential chemistry between the stars, Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy, the film falls short due to repetitive action sequences, uninspiring reveals, and lackluster dialogue. As Levi and Drasa communicate through signs, their interactions are charming, but the film loses its appeal when they finally speak face-to-face. The mystery of the gorge's inhabitants, a Cronenbergian society, is hindered by CGI limitations, missing the opportunity for a more engaging narrative with practical effects.
