NBC has renewed its new comedy series Happy’s Place for a second season, following an early renewal for St. Denis Medical. Both shows have performed well in the ratings, with Happy’s Place improving the Friday 8 PM time slot by 54% in total viewers. The pilot episode of Happy’s Place has reached 17.6 million viewers across all platforms, making it the #2 NBC comedy launch ever on Peacock. The show follows Bobbie (Reba McEntire) as she inherits her father’s tavern and discovers a new business partner, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo). Happy’s Place is created by Kevin Abbott and Julie Abbott and executive produced by McEntire, among others.
