MTV has decided not to bring back their annual "Movie & TV Awards" show for the second year in a row, with sources indicating that the event is currently "on pause" and its future uncertain. The recent merger of Paramount Global and Skydance Media, along with a memo from Paramount executive Bruce Gillmer about suspending major events, has further clouded the show's future. Despite its successful run from 1992 to 2023, the MTV Movie & TV Awards now joins other events like the CMT Music Awards and Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on the sidelines.
