Marc Ribot, a renowned avant-garde guitar player, is set to release a new LP titled "Map Of A Blue City," marking the first time he will showcase his singing voice on a record. The album, produced by Ben Greenberg, features tracks that Ribot recorded with the late Hal Willner, including reinterpretations of Allen Ginsberg's poem "Sometime Jailhouse Blues." The lead single, a rendition of the Carter Family's folk song "When The World's On Fire," reflects Ribot's unique style and perspective. "Map Of A Blue City" is scheduled for release on May 23 via New West Records.
