The Philadelphia Flyers have signed defenseman Ty Murchison to a two-year entry-level contract starting in the 2025-26 season. Murchison, a 22-year-old Corona, CA native, was drafted by the Flyers in the fifth round of the 2021 NHL Draft. He recently completed his fourth season at ASU, where he served as assistant captain and set a program record for blocked shots in a single season with 98. Prior to ASU, Murchison played for the U.S. National Team Development Program and the Los Angeles Jr. Kings program.
