The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum has unveiled a new student and community art exhibition titled “A Community of Artists” in the Taylor Swift Education Center. The exhibition features quilts made by local high school students in partnership with Metro Nashville Public Schools and individuals from Smart Art + Craft Supplies. The students met Gee’s Bend quilters, who shared their creative processes and helped the students create quilt squares using repurposed fabrics. The exhibition showcases the influence of Gee’s Bend quilters on the local community and features works by the quilters themselves. Admission to the exhibit is included with museum tickets, and free and discounted admission is available for local residents.
