A Democrat judge in New Mexico resigned after a suspected member of the Tren de Aragua gang was arrested at his residence. The judge, Jose "Joel" Cano, stepped down just days after ICE agents searched his home in connection with Cristhian Ortega-Lopez, an illegal immigrant and alleged gang member. Ortega-Lopez had been living with the judge's family and was found in possession of firearms. The judge and his wife declined to comment on the situation, and it remains unclear if they will face charges related to their association with Ortega-Lopez.
