Keyboardist David Briggs, a member of the Nashville Cats studio musicians, has passed away at the age of 82, as confirmed by the Country Music Hall of Fame. Known for his versatile keyboard skills, Briggs worked with numerous country, R&B, pop, and rock artists over his four-decade career. Starting in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Briggs later moved to Nashville and collaborated with iconic musicians like Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, and Neil Young. In 1971, he co-founded Quadrafonic Sound Studio, where he contributed to classic recordings by artists such as Jimmy Buffett and Joan Baez. Briggs was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame in 2019.
