Holmes pitched a solid 6.0 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 strikeouts and 4 walks. The bullpen struggled, allowing Boston to tie the game in the eighth inning. The game went into the ninth inning tied at 6-6, but the Braves couldn't capitalize on a scoring opportunity. Boston's Rafael Devers hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth, resulting in a frustrating loss for the Braves. The bullpen management and execution were questioned in this game.
