"Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Chinese and Italian Tourists Near Yellowstone National Park"

[!CDATA[A tragic accident occurred earlier this month near Henry’s Lake State Park in eastern Idaho, where a pickup truck collided with a van carrying a group of Chinese and Italian tourists on their way to Yellowstone National Park. The crash resulted in the deaths of all six passengers in the van, as well as the pickup truck driver. The victims have been identified as individuals from China and Italy, including Jian Shi, Xiaoming Jiang, Ivana Wen, Li Nie, Aifeng Wan, and the van's driver Yu Zhang. The Idaho State Police released a statement confirming the identities of the deceased travelers, who were predominantly Chinese nationals with one Italian passenger. The survivors of the crash were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The investigation revealed that the pickup truck driver, Isaih Moreno from Texas, crossed the center line and collided with the van driven by Yu Zhang, leading to the fatal accident. The highway where the collision occurred serves as a route between Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, providing access to the national parks in the spring before the full summer opening. Yellowstone National Park, known for its natural wonders like Old Faithful geyser and diverse wildlife, attracts millions of visitors annually. A significant portion of the park's international visitors in 2016 came from China and Italy, reflecting the global appeal of this iconic destination. The tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and vigilance while traveling, especially in popular tourist destinations like Yellowstone National Park. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the victims during this difficult time.]]
