BTS's Jungkook Wins Top Artist at 2025 Spain Top50 Music Awards and Sets Spotify Record

BTS's Jungkook has recently been named the "Top Artist" at the 2025 Spain Top50 Music Awards. The awards, which were held online, recognize global artists through public voting. Jungkook won in the "Global Artist" category, which focuses on non-Spanish performers. This achievement comes just before his upcoming completion of military service on June 11. Despite being inactive due to enlistment, Jungkook received strong international support during the voting process, securing his second consecutive win at the event.
Fans took to social media to celebrate Jungkook's victory, expressing their excitement and admiration for the K-pop idol. He was nominated for four awards at the ceremony, including Best Fans, Best K-Pop Artist, Best Artist or Group, and Best Song: Standing Next to You. ARMYs congratulated Jungkook on his win and encouraged him to continue achieving new milestones, especially as he won the Best International Artist award for the second year in a row.
In addition to his recent award, Jungkook has set a new Spotify record as the first Asian artist to have three songs from one album surpass 900 million streams. The songs, Seven, Standing Next to You, and 3D, are all from his album GOLDEN, released in late 2023. These tracks blend pop, R&B, and dance genres, with Seven leading the way with 2.373 billion streams. Standing Next to You follows with 1.209 billion streams, while 3D recently crossed the 900 million mark. This milestone highlights the increasing global interest in K-pop and Asian artists on major music platforms.
Meanwhile, BTS has revealed updated details for their 2025 FESTA, commemorating the group's 12th debut anniversary. The in-person celebration will take place on June 13–14 at KINTEX in Goyang, South Korea. Fans are eagerly anticipating the event to honor BTS's remarkable journey in the music industry.
