BTS and TWICE Dominate Nikkei Entertainment's Talent Power Ranking in Japan

BTS and TWICE have been recognized as the top K-pop acts in Japan according to Nikkei Entertainment! annual Talent Power Ranking. The ranking is based on surveys measuring public recognition and interest in Japan. TWICE, leading the girl group category, maintained their dominance for an eighth consecutive year with high public recognition and interest levels. BTS, the top K-pop boy group, also secured their position with impressive scores.
In addition to BTS and TWICE, other K-pop acts like TXT, SEVENTEEN, STRAY KIDS, and ENHYPEN also made the list in varying ranks of recognition and interest. Fans celebrated the achievement of both groups on social media, with some even joking about a potential collaboration between BTS and TWICE.
TWICE emerged as the top girl group in terms of overall general interest, followed by other acts like LE SSERAFIM and aespa. On the other hand, BTS maintained a significant lead in the boy group and male artist category, with TXT and SEVENTEEN following closely behind.
BTS is currently in the final phase of their military enlistment, with members scheduled to be discharged in June. TWICE is gearing up for the release of their fourth Korean studio album and will be performing at major events like Lollapalooza in Chicago. Both groups are expected to headline global stages in the second half of 2025, with BTS' FESTA 2025 already underway to celebrate their 12th debut anniversary.
