Teen Driver Arrested for Reckless 132 mph Chase on Interstate 91

A 19-year-old from Cromwell, Connecticut, was caught driving at 132 mph on Interstate 91 while trying to outrun a state trooper. The young driver, who was late for a job interview, has been charged with nine offenses by the Connecticut State Police. Despite the high-speed chase, the trooper had to stop pursuing the driver due to safety concerns for other motorists on the road. The Mercedes he was driving belonged to a family member, who helped authorities track him down. The 19-year-old mentioned his job interview as the reason for his reckless behavior when contacted by the police. He has been arrested and is scheduled to appear in Middletown Superior Court on June 17 after posting a $2,500 bond.
