GirlsDoPorn Owner Pleads Guilty to Sex Trafficking Charges: A Case of Deception and Exploitation

Michael Pratt, the owner of a porn website involved in a sex trafficking ring, recently pleaded guilty to multiple counts of sex trafficking. He and his co-defendants used force, fraud, and coercion to recruit young women, mostly in their late teens, to appear in videos on the GirlsDoPorn website from 2012 to 2019. These videos garnered millions of views and generated significant revenue for Pratt.

In court, Pratt confessed that he misled prospective models by promising that their videos would not be posted online or released in the U.S., and that no one would find out about them. To conceal their involvement in the pornography websites, Pratt and his co-conspirators intentionally avoided mentioning them in documents and communications, using aliases like "Begin Modeling" and "Bubblegum Casting" instead.

The victims were threatened if they tried to back out of filming, and most of the videos were shot in hotel rooms or short-term rentals in San Diego, California. Pratt was indicted in October 2019 on charges related to sex trafficking, production of child pornography, and conspiracy to launder money. After fleeing the U.S., he was apprehended in Spain in December 2022 and has now pleaded guilty to conspiracy to sex traffic and sex trafficking.

Pratt's co-conspirators, including Matthew Wolfe, Ruben Andre Garcia, Theodore Gyi, and Valorie Moser, have also faced legal consequences for their roles in the sex trafficking ring. Wolfe received a 14-year prison sentence, Garcia was sentenced to 20 years, Gyi to four years, and Moser is awaiting sentencing in September. Pratt is scheduled to be sentenced in September as well, following his guilty plea. The case highlights the serious consequences of engaging in sex trafficking and exploitation.
