More Songs About Buildings and Food: 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition

Talking Heads' iconic second album, More Songs About Buildings and Food, is getting a deluxe edition release to commemorate the band's 50th anniversary. The upcoming release, set for July 25, 2025, includes a 3-CD/1-Blu-ray super deluxe edition with the remastered album and 11 rarities, including unreleased alternate versions of tracks. Fans can pre-order the album in the U.S. and the U.K.
For vinyl enthusiasts, a 4-LP version of the album is available for pre-order, featuring the remastered album, rarities, and live recordings from a New York concert. There is also a 2-LP edition with the remastered album and select rarities for pre-order in the U.S. and the U.K.
The deluxe edition includes a live recording of the band's 1978 show at New York's Entermedia Theatre, as well as footage from another performance at the University of California, Berkeley. The Blu-ray features Dolby ATMOS and 5.1 surround sound mixes by E.T. Thorngren and Jerry Harrison, along with a high-resolution stereo version of the album. A 60-page hardcover book with unseen photos and new liner notes from band members Tina Weymouth, David Byrne, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison completes the package.
