Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith to be Reimagined with The Muppets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney has announced the closing timeframe for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, revealing plans for its transformation into a new attraction featuring The Muppets. The indoor roller coaster is scheduled to close in 2026, with the rethemed version starring The Muppets expected to open by the end of the same year. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the current Aerosmith-themed ride before its closure for the reimagining.
The upcoming attraction will be the first Disney ride centered on The Muppets, with a storyline that includes Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem band – Floyd Pepper, Janice, Lips, Animal, and Zoot – coming together for a “rockin’ music festival.” The retheme will also extend to the Rock Around the Shop merchandise location connected to the coaster’s show building.
As MuppetVision 3D concludes its final day of operation on June 7, 2025, fans can anticipate the return of The Muppets in a new E-ticket attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2026.
