2025 Tony Awards: Celebrating Broadway's Best with Performances, Awards, and Special Guests
The 78th annual Tony Awards, Broadway's most prestigious event, will take place on Sunday, June 8, celebrating the best of theater. The main Tony Awards show will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 8, from 8 to 11 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+. Viewers without a SHOWTIME subscription on Paramount+ can watch the full show on-demand starting Monday, June 9. The three-hour live broadcast will feature performances, award presentations, and special appearances throughout the evening.
The preshow, hosted by Darren Criss and Renée Elise Goldsberry, will stream for free on Pluto TV under the Live Music channel in the Entertainment section starting at 6:40 p.m. ET. Cynthia Erivo, an Emmy, Grammy, and Tony winner, will host this year's Tony Awards, succeeding Ariana DeBose. The red carpet coverage begins at 4:00 p.m. ET on the Tony Awards' official YouTube channel, showcasing early fashion moments and celebrity arrivals at Radio City Music Hall.
A total of 29 shows are nominated for this year's Tony Awards, with "Buena Vista Social Club," "Death Becomes Her," and "Maybe Happy Ending" leading the nominations with 10 each. These productions will also perform during the ceremony. The original cast of Hamilton will reunite for a special one-night-only anniversary performance, featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., Renée Elise Goldsberry, Phillipa Soo, Jonathan Groff, and other fan favorites.
