Blake Lively Celebrates Legal Victory at Chanel Tribeca Festival Artists Dinner
Blake Lively was seen in high spirits at the Chanel Tribeca Festival Artists Dinner in New York City, following a legal victory in her ongoing dispute with Justin Baldoni. The actress appeared joyful and relaxed as she walked the red carpet with her niece, Kate Johnson. Earlier that day, a judge dismissed the $400 million lawsuit filed by Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios against Blake, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and The New York Times.
Baldoni had accused the trio of defamation in connection with a New York Times article that shed light on the turmoil surrounding the production of "It Ends With Us." The judge ruled in favor of The New York Times, stating that the publication had reported the facts fairly based on Blake's own civil rights complaint. The judge also addressed Baldoni's claims against Reynolds, finding that Reynolds' statement aligns with Blake's allegations and could not be the basis for a defamation claim.
While Baldoni's lawsuit was dismissed, Blake's counterclaims against him are still pending. The judge has yet to make a decision on Baldoni's motion to dismiss these counterclaims.
