Remembering Jackson Cole Croft: A Tribute to a Young Racer and Rodeo Enthusiast

Authorities recovered the body of a 17-year-old boy, Jackson Cole Croft, from Allatoona Lake in Georgia on Friday. Croft had gone missing the day before, and Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Game Wardens located him around 4 p.m. ET. The lake is situated about 35 miles north of Atlanta in northwest Georgia. Croft was found at a depth of 22 feet in the water and was retrieved by local divers.

Croft was reported missing on Thursday after a boat he was on was discovered circling in the lake without a driver. He and his family were active members of the racing community in Woodstock, Georgia. Croft had recently started driving racing car No. 9 at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, where he was making a name for himself in the industry.

The Tri-County Racetrack in Brasstown, North Carolina, also expressed their condolences for Croft's passing on social media. Croft was involved in Georgia's rodeo community through RockN’5L Rodeo Company's Jr. Pro Division. To honor his life, the rodeo company in Cedartown, Georgia, is hosting a tribute event for Croft on June 14, where attendees are encouraged to wear green, his favorite color.

In memory of Jackson Cole Croft, the racing and rodeo communities are coming together to pay their respects and support his family during this difficult time. The tragic loss of the young racer has deeply impacted those who knew him, and his legacy will be remembered through the events and tributes held in his honor.
