Tom Rhys Harries to Star as Clayface in Upcoming DC Studios Film
Welsh actor Tom Rhys Harries has been cast in the lead role of "Clayface" for DC Studios, with James Watkins set to direct the film. The screenplay for the movie has been worked on by screenwriters Hossein Amini and Mike Flanagan. Production for the film is scheduled to start in the fall and will be produced by Matt Reeves and Lynn Harris.
Clayface, a character from the Batman universe, is known for his ability to shape-shift and transform his body into any form using living clay. The film will feature the Matt Hagen version of the character. Clayface has appeared in various Batman-related media, including the animated series from the '90s and the recent "Batman: The Caped Crusader" series.
Tom Rhys Harries, known for his roles in "The Return" and "The Gentlemen," will portray the titular character in "Clayface." The film is set to be released by DC Studios on September 11, 2026.
