The Idaho Steelheads, in partnership with the Idaho Central Arena, will be hosting an NHL preseason game between the LA Kings and Utah Mammoth at 7 p.m. inside the Idaho Central Arena. This exciting event marks the second time NHL hockey will be brought to the Treasure Valley in the last four years. This upcoming game will be the third NHL preseason game and the fourth NHL event to be hosted in Downtown Boise. Past events include the meeting between the Vegas Golden Knights and Arizona Coyotes in 2022, as well as the exhibition game between the LA Kings and San Jose Sharks in 1997. The Idaho Central Arena has a history of hosting NHL events, with the Steelheads also hosting the Dallas Stars Training Camp in 2018, which featured an intrasquad scrimmage on the final day.
