Marie-Philip Poulin Named IIHF Female Player of the Year

Marie-Philip Poulin, known as Canada's "Captain Clutch," has achieved another milestone in her illustrious hockey career by being named the IIHF's Female Player of the Year. Poulin received 33.1% of the votes, surpassing her American counterparts. Gwyneth Philips, a rookie goalie for the Ottawa Charge, came in second with 22.3% of the votes, while Hilary Knight, the U.S. national team captain and the first recipient of the award three years ago, finished third with 20.2%.
