Former Fat Joe Hypeman Files $20 Million Lawsuit Alleging Labor Exploitation, Sexual Manipulation, and Financial Fraud
Terrance “T.A.” Dixon, a former hypeman for Fat Joe, has filed a lawsuit against the rapper, accusing him of labor exploitation, financial fraud, sexual manipulation, violent intimidation, and psychological coercion. Dixon claims that Fat Joe suppressed his creative contributions and seeks up to $20 million in damages. The lawsuit includes disturbing claims about Fat Joe's alleged sexual relations with women, including minors, and lists specific instances involving underage girls.
Dixon served as Fat Joe's hypeman for 16 years and contributed to hits like “Congratulations” and “Money Over Bitches.” He alleges that he was coerced into numerous sexual acts to maintain his position within Fat Joe's enterprise. The lawsuit also implicates key associates of Fat Joe in the alleged criminal activities, including violations of various laws such as the Trafficking Victims Protection Act and the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
The lawsuit further names Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, accusing the company of concealing Dixon’s authorship rights and royalty interests. It claims that the defendants engaged in tax fraud schemes to hide wage theft and obscure exploited labor. The lawsuit details instances of sexual coercion, psychological control, and surveillance-based humiliation that Dixon allegedly endured at the hands of Fat Joe and his associates.
Fat Joe has denied the allegations and is represented by celebrity criminal attorney Joe Tacopina. The lawsuit describes incidents of sexual exploitation that allegedly took place on Market America’s corporate yacht and at its mansion properties. It also mentions veiled death threats and witness intimidation tactics used by Fat Joe. Despite Fat Joe's connections to prominent figures in politics, including then-Vice President Kamala Harris, he has faced scandal in the past, such as a 2010 incident where he and his entourage were detained and questioned following an alleged sexual assault report.
