BMX Firestorm Nationals: Kelowna's Premier Racing Event of the Year

The Kelowna BMX Club is gearing up to host the BMX Firestorm Nationals, a national championship event taking place from June 20 to 22 behind the Rutland Arena. This event, held every three years, is expected to draw nearly 600 riders from across Canada. Participants will compete in timed races in groups of up to eight riders based on age and skill level.
Spectators are encouraged to attend the event, which is free to watch. However, racers must register and pay to participate in the races. The competition will feature various age and skill divisions, including a new Superclass category for women and men of different age groups. The event will also include team tents sponsored by bike clubs and brands, as well as food catered by the Hatching Post.
Racers as young as two years old can join the competition using strider bikes, with divisions available for different age groups and skill levels. The Superclass category will showcase Canada's fastest riders, with amateurs and Pro-Elite riders vying for national titles and awards. The races will kick off on Friday, June 20 and continue until Sunday, June 22.
