Fatal Street-Racing Incident Leads to Arrests: Jose Urban and Diego Abreu in Custody

Two individuals have been apprehended by the Orange County Sheriff's Office in connection with a fatal street-racing incident that occurred in 2023 in Orange County. The suspects, identified as Jose Urban and Diego Abreu, were taken into custody following the tragic crash that claimed the life of Lindsey Delgado. The accident took place on a roadway with a speed limit of 40 mph, but the men were reportedly driving at speeds ranging from 92 to 100 mph at the time of the collision. The case remained unresolved until January when the arrests were made.
Jose Urban and Diego Abreu are facing charges of vehicular homicide in relation to the deadly street-racing crash that occurred in 2023. Both individuals have entered pleas of not guilty, and their bond has been set at $25,000 each. They are currently being held in the Orange County Jail. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Urban was driving a Toyota MR2 with Delgado as a passenger, while Abreu was driving a Mini Cooper. The incident occurred on J. Lawson Boulevard as the vehicles approached the intersection of South Boggy Creek Road. Urban lost control of the vehicle, veering off the roadway and colliding with a palm tree in the median. Delgado sustained critical injuries and tragically passed away on June 21, 2023.
