Meet Me in L.A.: A Tribute to Warren Zevon

A tribute show honoring the late singer-songwriter Warren Zevon is set to take place in Los Angeles this fall. The event, titled "Meet Me in L.A.: The Songs of Warren Zevon," will feature performances by Jackson Browne, Marshall Crenshaw, Shooter Jennings, Steve Wynn, and other special guests. The show will be held on October 25 at the United Theater in downtown Los Angeles, with ticket sale information to be announced soon.

Organized by the Wild Honey Foundation, the annual benefit concert aims to support autism and other causes. Jackson Browne, who produced Zevon's iconic albums "Warren Zevon" and "Excitable Boy," will be part of the lineup, along with Zevon's frequent collaborator Jorge Calderon and renowned session players Leland Sklar and Bob Glaub. Additional guest vocalists include Inara George, Eleni Mandell, Susan Cowsill, and Phil Cody, with more artists to be revealed leading up to the show.

The Wild Honey Orchestra, led by Rob Laufer and Jordan Summers, will pay tribute to Warren Zevon with their meticulous live renditions of his songs. Previous Wild Honey tribute shows have honored artists like the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and Big Star, often featuring original band members. The upcoming show is expected to include over 25 songs from Zevon's catalog, making it a comprehensive celebration of his music.

Proceeds from this year's Wild Honey show will benefit the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization and the Ed Asner Family Center for the Autism Community. Fans of Warren Zevon can look forward to a memorable evening of music and tribute to the legendary singer-songwriter.
