Blake Lively's Deposition Drama: Inside the Legal Battle with Justin Baldoni

Blake Lively has started her deposition in the lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, the director and costar of It Ends With Us. The Gossip Girl star arrived in New York City for the deposition conducted by Baldoni's legal team. The deposition was initially scheduled for July 17 but was postponed to July 31 to allow both parties to prepare.

Earlier, Baldoni's attorney suggested holding Lively's deposition at Madison Square Garden and streaming it for charity. Lively's camp insisted that the deposition should follow standard procedures and not be turned into a public spectacle. Lively had requested a redacted location for the deposition, which was granted by the judge despite objections from Baldoni's team.

The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni began in December 2024 when Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment during the filming of It Ends With Us. Baldoni denied the allegations and countersued Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist for extortion and defamation. Baldoni's lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and the publicist was dismissed by a judge in June.

The case between Lively and Baldoni is set to go to trial in March 2026. The ongoing legal proceedings have garnered significant attention and controversy, with both parties standing firm in their positions. The deposition marks a crucial step in the legal process as the case moves towards trial.
