Johnston's Road Racing Future: A Shift to British Supersport Championship

Rising star Johnston, who secured his first Isle of Man TT victory in the Supersport category in 2019, is currently focused on competing in the British Supersport Championship in 2025. The talented rider recently achieved a poignant podium finish at Brands Hatch, claiming third place in the Sprint race at the Kent track. Despite his success on the track, Johnston revealed in a personal update on his YouTube channel that he is unlikely to return to road racing anytime soon. The decision stems from his team owner's concerns about introducing his young sons, who also race for the team, to the world of road racing. While Johnston emphasized that he is not retiring from road racing, he acknowledged that the current circumstances make it improbable for him to participate in road racing events in the near future. Unless there are significant changes within the team, Johnston's focus will remain on his British Supersport Championship campaign, putting his road racing aspirations on hold for the time being.
