Colt Ford, a country singer, was set to perform at Kid Rock's summer festival series but had to cancel due to a heart attack in April 2024. Kid Rock stepped in and paid Ford for the missed shows, even doing a DJ set of Ford's music at each event. Ford shared his gratitude for Kid Rock's support during a podcast interview, revealing that he had to be revived twice by doctors after being found clinically dead on his tour bus. Fortunately, his best friend Brantley Gilbert was there to help get him the necessary medical attention. Despite the health scare, Ford has since released new music, lost 60 pounds, and continued touring in 2025.
