Canada's Men's Olympic Hockey Orientation Camp Roster Announced: NHL Stars Set to Shine in Calgary

Hockey Canada has announced the roster for the men's Olympic orientation camp, with 42 NHL players set to participate in the event in late August in Calgary. The camp will focus on team-building sessions and meetings to prepare players and staff for the upcoming Olympic season. Among the players invited are stars like Connor McDavid, Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon, and Cale Makar.
The roster includes six players who were named to the team in June, including McDavid, Crosby, MacKinnon, Makar, Brayden Point, and Sam Reinhart. Additionally, all 24 players from Canada's championship-winning squad at the 4 Nations Face-Off in February have been invited to the camp. The trio of goaltenders from that team — Jordan Binnington, Adin Hill, and Sam Montembeault — will also be in attendance.
Other notable players invited to the camp include Connor Bedard, Tom Wilson, John Tavares, Nick Suzuki, and Evan Bouchard. The men's Olympic hockey tournament is scheduled to take place from Feb. 11-22 in Milan, Italy. This will be the first time NHL players have participated in the Olympics since 2014 when Canada won its third gold medal in four Games.
The orientation camp will provide an opportunity for players to come together, build chemistry, and prepare for the challenges of international competition. With a talented roster and experienced coaching staff, Canada will be looking to continue its success on the Olympic stage. Stay tuned for updates as the team gears up for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.
