The Elkhart Grand Prix in Indiana received approval from 20 mayors for a professional street racing event in downtown Elkhart. The competition featured go-kart racers from various parts of the country racing around the St. Joseph River over two days. The races took place from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., followed by a live karaoke competition.
