Florida Panthers Players Celebrate Stanley Cup Victory with Unique Traditions

The Stanley Cup-winning team members have a unique tradition where they get a day with the trophy to celebrate their victory. This summer, the Florida Panthers players have been making the most of their time with the cup, taking it to various places like jail, swimming with dolphins, and even a Coldplay concert. Recently, Brad Marchand had his day with the trophy in his hometown of Halifax. He started the day by visiting a local drive-thru and ordering a doughnut while sitting next to the Stanley Cup.
Philip Pritchard, also known as the Keeper of the Cup, shared a photo of Marchand at the drive-thru, almost ordering a Boston cream doughnut. Later, Marchand was joined by NHL players like Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon for a group photo. Pritchard challenged viewers to count the number of Stanley Cup rings in the photo. Marchand also got a chance to sit inside the Cup, with MacKinnon sharing a photo on his Instagram story of the trio wearing 'BM63' hats in honor of Marchand's jersey number.
It's always exciting to see how players choose to spend their day with the Stanley Cup, creating memorable moments and sharing the joy of their victory with fans and fellow players. The tradition allows for personal and unique experiences with the iconic trophy, showcasing the bond between players and the history of the sport.
