Pop sensation Dua Lipa recently expressed her gratitude for being granted Kosovan citizenship in a formal ceremony by President Vjosa Osmani. The British-Albanian singer, who was born in London to Kosovar Albanian parents, shared the news on Instagram, thanking the President for the honor. The ceremony was held in a grand setting with Kosovo's national flags prominently displayed.

President Osmani welcomed Lipa home with the message "Mirë se erdhe në shtëpi, Dua!" which translates to "Welcome home, Dua!" Lipa has been a strong advocate for her Kosovar heritage and has actively promoted Kosovo on the global stage. She is the co-founder of the Sunny Hill Foundation, which supports arts and cultural development in Kosovo, and also organizes the annual Sunny Hill Festival in Pristina.

President Osmani commended Lipa for her efforts in enhancing Kosovo's international reputation and described her as a symbol of hope and inspiration for the youth.
