Jimmy Page Settles Lawsuit Over Led Zeppelin's 'Dazed and Confused' Song

Jimmy Page has recently reached a settlement in a lawsuit related to Led Zeppelin's song "Dazed and Confused." The lawsuit was filed by songwriter Jake Holmes, accusing Page and Sony Pictures of copyright infringement and breach of contract. Holmes claimed that his song was used in the documentary "Becoming Led Zeppelin" without proper credit or compensation. Additionally, Page released live versions of the song crediting himself as the sole songwriter. The parties have informed a California court that the dispute has been resolved, and a final settlement is in progress.
This is not the first time Holmes has taken legal action against Page. A previous lawsuit in 2010 resulted in an out-of-court settlement that led Page to update the crediting for Led Zeppelin's work to "Jimmy Page, inspired by Jake Holmes." Holmes alleges that Page first heard his song "Dazed and Confused" when Holmes opened for the Yardbirds in 1967. The details of the recent settlement have not been disclosed, and representatives for Warner Music and Holmes' attorney have declined to comment on the matter.
