The Jesus Lizard Cancels 2025 Tour Due to Medical Reasons: Refunds Available for Fans

The Jesus Lizard has made the difficult decision to cancel their upcoming tour dates in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and the US due to medical reasons. The band was set to kick off their tour in Auckland, New Zealand, on October 11, but after a health incident affecting one of the band members, they have decided to cancel all scheduled shows for the remainder of 2025.

In a statement released by the band, they expressed their regret for having to cancel the shows and emphasized that the affected member's prognosis is excellent. They thanked their fans for their understanding and support during this challenging time. Refunds will be available for those who have already purchased tickets.

The Jesus Lizard, known for their noise rock sound, released their first album in 26 years, titled Rack, last year. Frontman David Yow mentioned in an interview that there are no concrete plans for the band's future beyond the current tour dates. The band hopes to regroup and consider their next steps once they have completed their current commitments.

The cancelled tour dates include stops in Auckland, Wellington, Collingwood, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Tokyo in October, as well as shows in Nashville, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis in November. Fans who were looking forward to seeing The Jesus Lizard live will have to wait for future updates on rescheduled dates, if possible.
