Disney+ has announced the production of "Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation," a new anime series based on the popular mobile game. The show is set in the magical world of Night Raven College, where seven villainous characters have been transformed into legendary figures known as the Great Seven. Each dormitory at the college is associated with one of these villains, creating unique magical communities based on personality traits and magical abilities.
The story follows Yuken Enma, a high school student from Tokyo who finds himself transported to the enchanting realm of Night Raven College. The academy is a training ground for aspiring sorcerers, with dormitories themed after iconic Disney villains like the Queen of Hearts, Scar, Ursula, and Maleficent. Enma, along with his classmates Ace and Deuce, navigates the challenges of the academy and clashes with the strict dorm leader Riddle Rosehearts as he tries to find a way back to his own world.
"Disney Twisted-Wonderland: The Animation" is part of Disney+'s growing anime lineup, which includes series like "Murai In Love," "The Fable," and "Go! Go! Loser Ranger!" Each show offers a unique storyline, from romantic comedy to action-packed adventures. "Murai In Love" follows a high school student's humorous attempts to win over his teacher, while "The Fable" explores the life of an assassin in hiding. "Go! Go! Loser Ranger!" delves into the conflict between the Monster Army and the Divine Dragon Rangers. Additionally, Disney+ is developing "Cat's Eye," a series about three sisters who lead a double life as café owners and cat burglars.
