Skydance Media has revealed the lineup of 10 directors for Paramount Skydance Corp., the result of its merger with Paramount Global. The directors will officially join the Paramount board upon the completion of the merger, which is anticipated to be finalized on August 7. The current Paramount Global directors, including Shari Redstone, will step down as the new directors take their positions. The Paramount board will consist of 10 directors, with three independent directors, showcasing a dedication to long-term value creation for all stakeholders, as emphasized by Skydance.
The newly appointed directors include David Ellison, who will serve as the Future Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Paramount, Barbara Byrne, the Former Vice Chairman of Barclays PLC (Independent Director), Gerry Cardinale, the Founder, Managing Partner, and Chief Investment Officer of RedBird Capital Partners, Safra A. Catz, the CEO of Oracle Corporation, Andy Gordon, the Future Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Paramount, Justin G. Hamill, the Managing Director and Chief Legal Officer of Silver Lake (Independent Director), Sherry Lansing, the Former Chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures (Independent Director), Paul Marinelli, the President of Lawrence Investments, LLC, Jeff Shell, the Future President of Paramount, and John L. Thornton, the Chairman of RedBird Capital Partners. Notably, Safra A. Catz resigned from Disney's board in 2024 after leading Oracle since 2014.
